2yrs

Ana is my roommate, she lives downstairs from me with her daughter Alice.

On Xmas I decided to give Alice a gift.
Figured we spend sometime together,

So I got my coloring pencils and book,
And went down.

So we colored,
She liked it, went from sitting to laying on the couch to do that kind of trace you have to tell them about the lines.

We talked about the colors,
their names, and about the drawings we saw.

And we opened the can, and we closed it, and we cleaned up.

Then we figured we do tattoos.
That was an impressive part,
I showed her the steps,

I cut the paper, took the plastic off, separate the trash,
And held the fabric on the paper, white side up, tattoo on the body,
for 30 seconds.

Soon she got a hang,
Wanted to use the scissors, and I had to hold on to it, for now,
Allowed her to try taking the paper off,
Showed her how to,
And the process about twice.

Soon she decided to give her uncle Geff a flower tattoo,
He was worried it wouldn't show on his skin because he is Dark,
It worked, she carried on the process to the paper on his skin alone,

Then, forgot to count, but that is something that I guess they learn at that age onwards.

Then as we listened to music, we danced, and sang.
Mostly we spoke Portuguese because in our house,
we all speak Brazilian.

We listened to Rita Lee, Elis Regina, and some other artists.
Did our ballerina moves, danced as a group, no photos though.

Then I found my water gun.
We had dinner, I roasted a chicken, Geff made rice with corn and bacon, and pasta.
We got the kitchen a bit wet,
my pants too,
but mostly outside.

We have one window on each side of the kitchen,
We wrote her name on the dcrawing,
And at one point, she took it from the fridge and
brought the drawing to me.

Awn moment.

Then for a while we stared at the drawings on the fridge,
And I said to her in Portuguese,
"I think the drawings are really pretty, what do you think?"
She said they did.

Or as my language would permit me,
"Eu acho que os desenhos ficou bonito, o que ce acha?"
E ela disse,
"Ficou"

How would she know that it did,
not that it does, I don't know.

Than I also taught her, that I am her aunt, not her uncle.
I'm tia, o Geff e o tio.

Geff was so adorable with her,
She even sat on the table as he fed her,

Then she got really rowdy,
and ended up running around the house,
and jumping around, on the couch...
